Recent NSV's

I just HAVE to share with everyone..  Yesterday with the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation we had an outing at Ocean Breeze Water Park here in VA Beach.....There were SEVERAL NSV's that I am so GRATEFUL for. The first was the fact that I could actually FIT into the flippin tubes!!! OMG! Before I would fall off the tubes and struggle with them but today I sat in it and did not create a tidal wave doing it!! OMG! It was funeffiintabulous! Second was the tube itself, I could fit in the HOLE and stand in the middle of it, before the tube would not even fit around me! Third, I could WALK and WALK and WALK and take the stairs up MANY flights WITHOUT getting WINDED! It was AWESOME! It was a day of amazing NSV's and to top it off I was told over and over that no one can believe how WONDERFUL I look and healthy looking, I got so many compliments it was not funny. I believe the best thing of all, I wore a bathing suit and did NOT cover up. The kids were so excited that I actually rode the rides with them and got involved. Normally I would wait for them at the bottom. It really is amazing what a year can do......

Stacey, that is awesome!!!! WLS is such a gift of health and well being. Some days, it is difficult to put into words, just how grand it makes everything. I am grateful everyday for a second chance at good health and an active lifestyle.

Stacey......this is TRULY one of the best things about this surgery.   We held back so much (most of us anyways) when we were embarrassed about our bodies or just could not do what we wanted because of our size. I am becoming so grateful for these limitations ending and your entry so proves that.  I am going on a cruise next spring and this is something I would have avoided usually.  I am so glad you had a wonderful day with your family.  How fun!!!
